The department Bulding Projects (BP) coordinates the construction measures of KIT.
Together with the users, we develop concepts for renovation measures, conversions and new buildings. We discuss the appropriate procedure with the users, ask them about the user requirements and formulate the construction task with them.
The measures are prioritized in close coordination with the faculties and the KIT committees so that they can be implemented economically across the campus as part of an overarching overall concept.
Our tasks
- Participation in the determination of requirements and, derived from this, the formulation of performance requirements for architects and specialist planners.
- Taking on the client's tasks, project management and project control and thus controlling and monitoring the achievement of objectives in terms of costs, deadlines and quality.
- Coordination of all contacts with approval authorities, funding bodies and the ministries involved in the process at federal and state level.
Contact persons
To implement these tasks, the department Building Projects (BP) is divided into four teams, thematically into the areas of construction project management and technology and locally into Large-scale Research Responsibilities (GFA) and University Responsibilities (UA):
